To the voluntaryists out there insistent on actually applying the golden rule to everything in life, and not making convenient exceptions in the name of politics or religion: Thank you. Cheers to you. There is no pawning off of responsibility, ultimately. If we want the world to become better, we cannot wait for a president, priest, or savior to make it happen. Indeed, even according to most religions (and even their messiah figures) god has imbued creation with agency and a moral compass, and commanded that we use this compass to actively oppose evil, not just to wait around passively participating in the evil because “it’s just how it is.” Of course, all major religions are also contradictory and shizophrenic by design, so they simultaneously inculcate a hopeless resignation in adherents.

The time to make the world better is now. Non-participation in evil is preferable to active assent via the acts of voting and other such tacit approval of murder, rape, and theft. Things here will never be perfect, but they can be a hell of a lot better if we just use a little logic and love — and reality — as our guide, and not words written by other people with questionable or even (as is the reality) openly perverse agendas.

I love voluntaryists because we know:

  • Each individual OWNS HIS or HER SELF.
  • Murder of any innocent human being is ALWAYS wrong, no matter who does it or what figure is said to “justify” it.
  • STEALING IS WRONG.
  • Taxation is EXTORTION and is never justified.
  • Arguments for harming any number of non-violent people for the “greater good” are complete BULLSHIT.

The above proclamations ABSOLUTELY HOLD TRUE if the end goal is a maximally peaceful society in any given location. Without the grundnorms of self-ownership and property as an extension thereof, no lasting society can be built and no freedom — economic or otherwise — can be had. If the goal of anyone is not to build a situation with maximum possible peace, that person is seeking to create a violent situation, intentionally or otherwise. This is an absurd position, as the violent situation will end up harming that person as well, and ultimately destroying that society.

So, I don’t know. In celebration of a wonderful sakura season, and just seeing everyone out in nature getting along thanks to their desire for peace and refined self-interest (violence isn’t the default of humans when our basic needs are met), let’s be more like nature. Logical and real. But we can add love to this reality like no other creature can. From the mysterious wonder of being alive here. Something beyond words and also somehow “more than this.” A police presence and politicians isn’t what kept the peace here in Matsumoto this weekend, or what built the new houses going up, or ran the busy restaurants or maintained the roads and sewer systems. It was everyday people like you and I, who just want to live in peace and enjoy this world and life! Let’s continue to let the parasite class starve, and not support their theft, murder, and selective “morality.”

KANPAI!!!!!!!
