Religious People Cannot See You as a Human Being

To the degree that someone is religious, and where this religion — be it statism, Christianity, or whatever — overlaps with views you may hold disagreeing with said religion, that someone will never be able to see you for who you are as a human being, or understand and respect you. Feel like infanticide is always objectively wrong? The Christian will agree with you only up until his God or state (or both) does it and condones it. Merely have a doubt about the character of someone’s favored political idol? Well, say goodbye to conversation and hello to gaslighting. They will never be able to empathize, or understand you, and will attempt to actively misinterpret you to the end of defending their belief system. In short, to the degree that someone is religious — even your closest friends and family — they will not give two shits about your actual heart and feelings. They are the biggest fucking liars and frauds on the planet, intentional or otherwise (even the ones with good intentions, and this is truly sad and tragic to the degree that the religion has hijacked their mind), only heaping on fear, blame, and gaslighting guilt, and covering it in a blanket of “love”. You find them almost never arguing from an intellectually honest standpoint and always, ironically, seeking to “win” in a conversation as if the whole goal is to feed their ego. This, while they huff and puff about the evil of mankind’s hubris. Make no mistake, they are the truly prideful ones, seeking to speak directly for “God.” Not us supposedly lost sinners who are actually willing to say “I don’t know” about some of life’s bigger questions. Or willing to say “mass murder and genocide are always wrong.” Religious people are the biggest moral relativists there are. Everything they proclaim to hate, they viciously support, in their own perverse, inverted ways. It is all a con. They merely want to control you. Don’t buy the saccharine emotionalism and syrupy words, hiding knives and poison underneath all the while. Here is just one example of this hurtful crap. After expressing some of my doubts, my father hints that I may be leading people to suicide, by being honest. Ahhhh fuck, man.
